Hoggetowne 2027 — Merlin and the Four Realms

We are looking for volunteer actors, stage and stunt combatants, and stage crew to participate in our Living Chessboard for the 2027 Hoggetowne Medieval Faire! ​Whether you have years of experience or have always wanted to try acting, this is your chance to learn, create, and become part of a one-of-a-kind theatrical adventure.  Performers will develop characters, engage with audiences, learn stage combat techniques, and help bring epic fantasy battles to life in the middle of the faire. 
No stage combat experience? Never performed before? No problem! Training will be provided. Come discover what you can do!
​Auditions for the 2027 Faire will be at the Rosa B Williams Center on August 22 and 23, 10am - 2pm.  Doors open at 9:15 for paperwork.

​Auditions will include acting and movement elements, so please wear close toed shoes.  
Please bring your driver’s license or photo ID. Anyone under 18 years of age will need to have their parent or guardian to sign required paperwork.
While we prefer in-person auditions so as to examine interpersonal dynamics and character interactions, we realize some people may have outstanding commitments. If you cannot attend auditions, you are invited to submit an online audition here.
