Characters

Merlin - The legendary wizard of Camelot and Arthur's trusted mentor, Merlin secretly placed the young prince in the care of Sir Ector so he would learn humility, compassion, and the value of hard work before claiming the throne. Wise, eccentric, and endlessly unpredictable, Merlin often appears absent-minded or distracted, but beneath his quirky antics lies one of the greatest minds in the realm. He sees Arthur as the son he never had and is devoted to helping him become the king he was destined to be.

Camelot

King Arthur Pendragon -  King of the Britons and Lord of Camelot, Arthur has grown into a wise and steadfast ruler devoted to justice, mercy, and the ideals of the Round Table. Though the burdens of kingship weigh heavily upon him, he strives to lead not only by command but by example, believing that hope, honor, and unity can overcome even the darkest of times. Firm yet compassionate, Arthur inspires those around him to be their best selves and remains convinced that goodness will prevail so long as people stand together.

Queen Guinevere - Queen of the Britons, Guenivere is intelligent, gracious, and possessed of a quiet strength equal to any knight's sword. Well educated and wise, she serves as Arthur's closest confidante and strongest supporter, never hesitating to offer her honest counsel when needed. Though she leaves the battlefield to others, she is every bit the king's equal in courage and leadership, and her compassion often tempers Arthur's sense of duty.

Sir Lancelot - The greatest champion of Camelot and Arthur's most trusted knight, Sir Lancelot embodies honor, humility, and self-sacrifice. Though he secretly carries an impossible love for Queen Guenivere, his devotion to Arthur (his king and dearest friend) keeps those feelings forever hidden. Noble and steadfast, Lancelot would gladly lay down his life for either of them and treats his fellow knights as beloved brothers-in-arms.

Sir Kay - Arthur's older stepbrother, Sir Kay is warmhearted, boisterous, and blessed with an irrepressible sense of humor. Though he once struggled to accept Arthur's destiny, he has long since embraced his role as the king's loyal brother and unofficial keeper of good spirits. Whenever the burdens of rulership become too great, Kay considers it his sacred duty to make Arthur laugh and remind the court that joy is as important as duty.

Sir Gawain - Handsome, charming, and hopelessly convinced that this time his grand gesture will impress the ladies, Sir Gawain lives for adventure, romance, and opportunities to display his valor. Though his efforts are sometimes often more enthusiastic than successful, his confidence never falters. Deeply loyal to his friends Tristan and Bors, Gawain is forever baffled that Tristan seems uninterested in the attention Gawain works so hard to earn.

Sir Tristan - A gifted knight haunted by his love for Isolde, Sir Tristan carries himself with quiet melancholy and poetic charm. Though admired wherever he goes, he politely avoids the affections of others, unable to give away a heart already claimed. His closest companions, Gawain and Bors, constantly attempt to draw him out of his sorrow, and despite his brooding nature, Tristan remains a loyal and dependable friend.

Sir Bors - Fearless, larger-than-life, and fully aware of his own talents, Sir Bors approaches life with enthusiasm and unshakable confidence. A legendary warrior and a master of outrageous boasts, he delights in friendly competition (especially with Sir Gawain) and firmly believes that almost any problem can be improved with laughter and a bold plan. Beneath the bravado lies a loyal heart and a sincere desire to see his friends happy. He’s good and he knows he’s good. His prowess in battle is infamous (think Oliver Platt’s Porthios).

Sir Sagremore - Proud, ambitious, and possessed of noble blood, Sir Sagremore originally joined the Round Table seeking prestige and glory worthy of a king's son. Yet over time, Arthur's example has transformed his understanding of knighthood. Though still proud of his station and eager to distinguish himself, Sagremore has come to respect the ideals of service and justice that define Camelot and is gradually becoming the knight Arthur always believed he could be. He harbors a secret crush on Lady Andrivet and finds ways to bestow little trinkets to her.

Sir Miroet - The older Irish brother, Sir Miroet is loud, cheerful, and larger than life. A lover of drink, laughter, and battle, he enjoys spinning exaggerated tales of his adventures and will happily trade blows with his brother before sharing a pint. Fiercely loyal to Arthur, he is unafraid to question the king when he believes a friend should speak honestly.

Sir Kamlin - The younger Irish brother, Kamiln is quick-witted and mischievous. He prefers clever schemes and playful wagers to grand speeches. As fond of drink and friendly brawls as his brother, he delights in teasing others and keeping everyone on their toes. Loyal to Arthur and Camelot, he believes true loyalty includes the courage to disagree.

Sir Bedivere - Thoughtful, steadfast, and quietly courageous, Sir Bedivere is one of Arthur's oldest and most trusted companions. More than a warrior, he is a knight of reflection and duty, often serving as the voice of reason when others are swept up in pride or passion. He is particularly skilled at keeping his head in moments of crisis, rarely allowing fear or anger to dictate his actions.

Sir Percival - Sir Percival embodies the ideal of the knight who must discover what it truly means to be honorable. Raised away from the world of knights, he approaches Camelot with fresh eyes and an uncorrupted sense of right and wrong. Percival can be impulsive and painfully earnest, but is also full of great courage and spiritual insight, His purity of purpose is precisely what allows him to accomplish what more worldly knights cannot.

Sir Agravaine - Proud, formidable, and deeply suspicious of those around him, Sir Agravain is a knight who believes that danger often hides beneath appearances. A son of King Lot and Morgause and brother to Gawain, he possesses the fierce pride and ambition of the Orkney family, but lacks Gawain's warmth and generosity. Agravain is a sharp observer of courtly intrigue and is rarely willing to ignore a perceived betrayal, making him a dangerous adversary when he believes someone has violated Camelot's honor.

Sir Rhianna - The first woman ever welcomed into the Knights of the Round Table, Sir Rhianna has earned her place through skill, determination, and unwavering honor. Calm, disciplined, and fiercely protective, she has become one of Camelot's most respected knights and shares a close friendship with Sir Lancelot, whose devotion to duty mirrors her own. Entrusted with training Queen Guenivere's personal guard, Rhianna takes great pride in shaping the next generation of protectors and serves as both mentor and inspiration to those under her care.  She is close friends with Lady Meriadu.

Lady Meriadu - She was the first of Guenivere’s personal guards. Having trained under Sir Rhianna, she has recently been recommended for knighthood and strives to prove herself worthy of the honor. Deeply loyal to the Queen and devoted to her companions, Meriadu often acts as the steady hand among the younger members of the guard.

Lady Andrivet - Princess of Northumberland, she is the newest of Guinevere’s personal guard. She has lots of spunk and courage to match. Though young and occasionally impulsive, she throws herself wholeheartedly into every challenge and is eager to prove that she deserves her place among Camelot's finest. Her noble upbringing has not diminished her adventurous nature, and she embraces danger with infectious confidence.

Lady Elyzabel - A cousin to Queen Guenivere, Lady Elyzabel joined the Queen's guard out of genuine devotion rather than obligation. Thoughtful, graceful, and keenly observant, she balances courtly manners with growing martial skill. Though newer to military life than some of her companions, Elyzabel possesses quiet courage and an ability to notice tensions before they become problems.

“Lady” Dodinel - Once an orphan with no family or title to her name, Dodinel was discovered in the woods by Sir Rhianna and given the opportunity to serve in the Queen's guard. Though she technically holds no noble rank, everyone affectionately calls her "Lady" Dodinel, much to her delight. Cheerful, resourceful, and endlessly grateful for the life she has been given, Dodinel throws herself into her duties with boundless enthusiasm and fiercely protects the family she has found in Camelot.

The Enchanted Forest (Fairy Hollow)

Elowen Moonsong, The Willow Queen - Regal, wise, and enigmatic, she rules over Fairy Hollow with quiet authority and unwavering grace. She speaks thoughtfully, choosing her words with care, but beneath her gentle demeanor lies a fierce protector of the realm's secrets. She knows that with popularity comes great responsibility and that magic is a gift that must be respected, and remains vigilant against those who would seek to wield it carelessly.

Kaelor Thornmantle, Defender of the Wood - Steadfast, courageous, and fiercely loyal, Kaelor serves as the shield of Fairy Hollow. Far from the familiar borders of Fairy Hollow, he remains constantly alert for signs of danger. While his imposing presence and stern expression can be intimidating, those who know him understand his protective instincts stem from a profound love for the forest and its inhabitants. Kaelor values duty above all else and would willingly place himself in harm's way to protect his queen, his companions, and the magic they guard.

Nimue, Lady of the Lake - Ancient, serene, and quietly enchanting, Nimue is one of the oldest and most revered members of the Court of Fairy Hollow. Graceful and mysterious, she speaks with gentle wisdom and possesses a deep understanding of the ebb and flow of magic. Though her calm demeanor rarely falters, those who mistake her kindness for weakness soon discover the immense power that lies beneath the still waters she embodies.

Zephriel Skydancer, Shepherd of the Wind - Charming, whimsical, and endlessly curious, Zephriel thrives in unfamiliar lands. Their quick feet and quicker mind make them an invaluable scout, messenger, and gatherer of rumors. While others focus on the dangers ahead, Zephriel delights in discovering hidden paths, secret clues, and unexpected allies. Their playful nature helps keep spirits high during the long search, though they never lose sight of the importance of the mission.

Aeloria Silverveil, Keeper of the Silverfalls - Serene, reflective, and deeply intuitive, Aeloria seeks wisdom in every encounter. They believe the spellbook's magic leaves echoes that can be sensed by those willing to listen. Often serving as the court's counselor, Aeloria encourages patience and thoughtful action rather than rash decisions. Their calm presence helps steady the group whenever tensions rise or the path forward becomes unclear.

Theron Glenmere, Keeper of the Glen - Kindhearted, hospitable, and endlessly patient, Theron serves as the court's ambassador to this unfamiliar realm. He is gifted at making friends, earning trust, and finding common ground with strangers. While others search for clues, Theron gathers stories and information from those they meet, believing that every traveler may hold a piece of the puzzle. His warmth often opens doors that force never could. (Uncle Iroh)

Draven Rootguard, Keeper of the Burrows - Gruff, disciplined, and endlessly demanding, Draven commands the underground creatures of Fairy Hollow with the intensity of a seasoned drill sergeant. Convinced that every mole, badger, rabbit, and gnome should be ready for action at a moment's notice, he believes proper training solves nearly every problem. While the court searches Hoggetowne for the spellbook, Draven keeps everyone's senses sharp by conducting surprise training drills with any member of the Fae he can recruit, insisting that constant practice is the key to survival. (garden gnome)

Poppy Fernwhisperer - Gentle, nurturing, and empathetic, Poppy helps care for both body and spirit during the journey. They are often the first to notice when someone is worried, exhausted, or overwhelmed. Poppy believes that often the best medicine is rest and will put people to sleep if they seem too stressed out…or if they get overly annoying…or talk too much.

Pippin Mossfoot - Curious, adventurous, and enthusiastic, Pippin treats the quest as the greatest mystery they have ever encountered. Always searching for clues, hidden compartments, unusual symbols, or overlooked details, they often stumble upon discoveries others miss. Their excitement and sense of wonder remind the group that adventure can still be found even in difficult circumstances. “Best quest ever!”

Piper Brightbloom - Bold, spirited, and delightfully mischievous, Piper keeps morale high when the journey becomes challenging. Whether distracting suspicious characters, lightening tense moments with humor, or encouraging others to take action, Piper brings energy and confidence to the group. Their fearless nature often inspires others to embrace the unknown.

Birch Dawnleaf - Bright and uplifting, Birch is optimistic, encouraging, and full of hope. Birch believes that every challenge presents an opportunity for growth. They excel at helping others see possibilities where they only see obstacles. Even when the trail grows cold, Birch's unwavering optimism helps keep the court moving forward - “Challenge accepted”.

Ash Willowroot - Calm, steady, and compassionate, Ash carries a quiet strength. Thoughtful and observant, they often notice patterns and connections that others overlook. When difficult choices must be made, Ash helps the group consider every perspective. Their steady presence provides reassurance throughout the quest.

Bramble Thornbriar - Protective, determined, and intensely devoted, Bramble is deeply suspicious of anyone who might seek the spellbook for personal gain. While they can seem stern and intimidating, their vigilance often prevents the court from walking into danger. Bramble sees themselves as a shield against those who would abuse magic and takes that responsibility seriously.

Lark Songbreeze - Cheerful, musical, and expressive, Lark collects legends, songs, and forgotten tales wherever the court travels. Convinced that the spellbook's history may contain clues to its whereabouts, they eagerly seek out old stories and local lore. Lark's performances also help earn goodwill from those they meet along the way.

Clover Greenluck - Playful, optimistic, and surprisingly clever, Clover has a remarkable talent for finding opportunities in unexpected places. Whether through fortunate coincidence or keen intuition, they often uncover clues that seem hidden from everyone else. Clover believes that a little luck, paired with good intentions, can change the course of any adventure.

Rowan Emberglow - Passionate and courageous, Rowan approaches the quest with fearless determination. They are often the first to volunteer for difficult tasks and the first to stand up to those who threaten the court's mission. Rowan believes the spellbook must be protected not out of fear, but because powerful magic should serve the greater good.

Viola Dewpetal - Dreamy, imaginative, and deeply attuned to the living world, Viola experiences nature in ways few others can understand. They hear the songs whispered by the trees, laugh at jokes shared by flowers, and delight in the stories told by particularly interesting rocks. Gentle, curious, and utterly sincere, Viola reminds their companions that the world is far more alive, and far more magical than most people realize.

The Land of Grim

Morthos Corvayne, Lord of Ravens - Regal and exquisitely refined, yet as cold and inevitable as a tolling bell, the Lord of Ravens seeks not conquest but consumption, to swallow the light and crown all realms in endless dusk. Charismatic, calculating, and possessed of impeccable manners, he listens intently and speaks with thoughtful grace. He sees himself not as a tyrant, but as the architect of a more elegant order, believing he has improved upon goodness itself. To him, hope is an imperfect remedy and darkness the rightful heir to light, and he offers the world not cruelty, but what he considers a beautiful and merciful end.

Warden Morcant of the Veil - The stoic protector closest to the Lord of Ravens, Warden Morcant oversees the inner circle of security. Silent and vigilant, Morcant watches every movement and ensures that none approach the Lord of Ravens without permission.

Captain Noctyra – Sharp-minded and dangerously captivating, Captain Noctyra is the voice of temptation for the Ravensguard. Like a siren calling sailors toward the rocks, she rarely needs force to get what she wants; her words, charm, and calculated presence are often enough to bend others to her will. Strategic and observant, Noctyra reads weaknesses to manipulate and control all who oppose her.

Lieutenant Ashryn Hollow - Lieutenant Ashryn Hollow is alert, quick-thinking, and eager to prove their loyalty. Ashryn assists in coordinating the Ravensguard and often interacts directly with visitors, questioning their intentions and watching for signs of trouble.

Ser Caligo, the Duskblade - a formidable warrior of the Ravensguard whose confidence is almost as sharp as their blade. Precise, disciplined, and fiercely competitive, Caligo eagerly seeks the duel that will become the greatest battle ever fought, the kind of story that will echo through the ages. Every challenge is an opportunity to make history, and Caligo is absolutely certain today could be legend... wait for it... dary.

Lady Corvina, the Raven Seer - Mysterious and perceptive, Lady Corvina serves as the oracle of the Ravensguard. She reads omens in the wind and watches for signs of fate’s shifting path. Speaking in thoughtful observations and cryptic hints, she guides the guard with insight into what may come.

Lady Virelle, the Mirror Queen - Elegant, vain, and dangerously intelligent, the Mirror Queen rules from a palace of fractured reflections where truth has become distorted by obsession. She is consumed by the need to be admired and believes beauty, power, and control are one and the same. The Queen studies every person she meets, searching for insecurities she can exploit. She seeks the Enchanted spellbook not simply for power, but to ensure that every mirror in every realm reflects only her greatness.

Lord Lucian Bramblefang, the Wolf of the Withered Path - Patient, predatory, and charmingly deceptive, the Wolf wanders forgotten roads and dark forests where travelers lose their way. Unlike a mindless beast, he prefers clever disguises, whispered lies, and carefully laid traps. He delights in learning what people fear, then becoming exactly what they expect to trust.

Lord Silas Bramblefang, the Wolf at the Hearth - Where his brother Lucian hunts those who wander the forgotten paths, Silas waits for them to come willingly. Elegant, courteous, and disarmingly warm, he has mastered the art of making danger feel like hospitality. He offers shelter to travelers caught in the dark, a warm fire to the weary, and a reassuring smile to those who have every reason to be afraid.

Lady Arachsyl, the Spinner of Final Threads — Calm, meticulous, and unsettlingly serene, Arachsyl moves like a quiet predator at the center of an invisible web. She believes all existence is already woven into pattern with kings, heroes, and empires alike reduced to strands in a vast, predetermined tapestry only she can perceive. To her, free will is not a force, but a comforting illusion spun by those too close to see the loom.

Minions of Doom
Technically part of the Dominion… unofficially a liability. These are overzealous shadow recruits who desperately want to be terrifying but are… not quite there. They adore the Lord of Ravens and try very hard to embody doom. They often misunderstand instructions.  They patrol about chanting “doom” with every step.

Captain Doomwhistle - A devoted patrol leader who believes marching songs are essential to villainy. Captain Doomwhistle insists the Minions chant "Doom!" in perfect rhythm and is known for the impromptu rehearsal to make sure they are doing it right.

Lady Murkella - Elegant in her own mind and theatrical in every situation, Lady Murkella believes villainy should always be performed with style. She practices menacing expressions, villainous laughter, and dramatic poses with tireless dedication. Even minor inconveniences are treated as tragedies worthy of the stage.

Gloombert the Unsettling - Eager and overly dramatic, Gloombert proudly proclaims himself "Harbinger of Despair, Bringer of Misery, and Assistant Regional Shadow Overseer." Unfortunately, his long cloak and tendency to gesture grandly often betray his fearsome image. Though hopelessly clumsy, Gloombert remains convinced he is one intimidating speech away from greatness.

The Apprentice of Absolute Darkness - Young, earnest, and still learning the finer points of gloom, the Apprentice of Absolute Darkness dreams of becoming a true Master of Shadows. Convinced that all great darkness begins with a little shade, they proudly wield an umbrella to create suitably ominous shadows and dramatic entrances.

Dread and Slightly More Dread - Dread insists they are inseparable twins and introduces them as such at every opportunity, though everyone quickly realizes that Slightly More Dread is in fact a distinct personality expressed through an ever-present sock puppet. While Dread strives to maintain an air of sophistication, Slightly More Dread delights in proposing increasingly ridiculous schemes and over-the-top acts of villainy, much to Dread's constant embarrassment.

Professor Bleakwick the Profound - Convinced he is the greatest mind in the Dominion, Professor Bleakwick serves as the self-appointed "Chief Theorist of Total Darkness." Armed with endless scrolls containing highly elaborate plans for eternal night, he is forever explaining concepts no one asked about.

Baron Von Bumbleshade - A well-meaning recruit who desperately wants to sound aristocratic and sinister, Baron Von Bumbleshade peppers his speech with unnecessary titles and made-up ranks. He is convinced he comes from a long line of fearsome villains, though no one has been able to verify this.

Miss Misery Moonshadow - Sweet, polite, and entirely unsuited to evil, Miss Misery continually apologizes after delivering threats. She desperately wants to be frightening but worries constantly about hurting anyone's feelings.

Wonderland
The Queen of Hearts - Bold, theatrical, and delightfully unpredictable, the Queen of Hearts believes the Enchanted spellbook rightfully belongs to Wonderland, where only a proper monarch can appreciate its value. She is fiercely protective of her kingdom and beloved daughter, but prone to dramatic declarations and impossible demands. The Queen's loyalties ultimately lie with Wonderland alone, and she has no intention of allowing anyone to command her.

Dame Scarlet Parterre, Shield of the Queen - Honorable, vigilant, and unwavering in her devotion, Dame Scarlet serves as the Queen of Hearts' personal champion and closest protector. While others may laugh at the Queen's whims, Scarlet takes every royal decree seriously and would willingly stand between Her Majesty and any danger. Though stern and imposing to strangers, she possesses a deeply compassionate heart and has dedicated her life to safeguarding both the Queen and Princess Rosa. Scarlet views the alliance with the Lord of Ravens with great suspicion and keeps a watchful eye on his every move, determined that no harm shall come to the royal family.

Princess Rosa - Kindhearted, intelligent, and more grounded than her mother, Princess Rosa secretly hopes the spellbook can be protected rather than possessed. While loyal to Wonderland, she questions the wisdom of trusting the Lord of Ravens and often seeks peaceful solutions where others see conflict.

Garrik Hale, Captain of the Guard - Disciplined, practical, and endlessly patient, Captain Garrik commands the Card Guard and is responsible for the safety and order of Wonderland as a whole. A skilled organizer and tactician, Garrik translates the Queen's ever-changing decrees into something the guards can actually accomplish. Though deeply loyal to the Crown, they prioritize the good of the realm and are willing to question a plan if it puts Wonderland or its people at unnecessary risk.

Alistair Hatterby, The Queen’s Hatter - Eccentric, imaginative, and delightfully chaotic, the Hatter considers the search for the spellbook the greatest puzzle and most marvelous tea topic imaginable. He sees the alliance with the Lord of Ravens as a fascinating experiment and delights in asking uncomfortable questions that nobody else would dare pose. (Mad Hatter)

Lapin Blanc - Lapin has been tasked with keeping Wonderland's expedition on schedule. Endearingly neurotic and obsessively punctual, Lapin is convinced that arriving exactly on time is the only thing holding reality together. Every delay is a catastrophe, every shortcut a gamble, and every distraction a personal attack on the timetable. While everyone else worries about finding the spellbook or surviving the Queen, Lapin is far more concerned that they're now forty-three seconds behind schedule. (White Rabbit)

Thackerey Earwicket - Energetic, and gloriously unpredictable, treating every challenge as the beginning of an adventure and every mystery as an invitation to make things more exciting. Yet beneath the chaos lies one unshakable certainty: somehow, Thackerey always knows exactly when it's teatime. To him, tea is not merely a meal, it is the most important event in the universe, and absolutely nothing takes precedence over it. (March Hare)

Miss Mausen Whittlenook - Sleepy, quiet, and surprisingly insightful, Miss Mausen serves as the Queen's handmaiden. As the unofficial keeper of secrets, she quietly observes everything while most assume she's dozing off. Blessed with an extraordinary memory for forgotten details, overheard conversations, and tiny clues, Miss Mausen often holds the missing piece of the puzzle -provided she can stay awake long enough to share it.  (Door Mouse)

Tweedledee, Tweedledum, and Tweedledoo - Cheerful, inseparable, and gloriously nonsensical, the Tweedles are thrilled by the prospect of a grand adventure and have attached themselves to the quest with little understanding of the danger involved. They adore giving advice, though the more they explain, the less helpful they become and occasionally break into perfectly synchronized agreement on something entirely unrelated. They have become fascinated by the Minions of Doom and consider them honorary cousins.

Bander Quickwick - Fast, flashy, and impossible to pin down, Bander Quickwick is the loud half of Wonderland’s most infamous thieving duo. He thrives on distraction and misdirection, turning every interaction into an opportunity for movement, noise, and spectacle. Bander is constantly in motion, leaning into conversations, stepping around people, “accidentally” bumping into objects, and drawing attention exactly where he wants it. He treats theft like choreography, using rhythm, timing, and charm to keep everyone looking the wrong way while things quietly go missing.

Snatch Holloway - Silent, precise, and intensely observant, Snatch Holloway is the shadow counterpart to Bander’s chaos. He moves minimally but intentionally, slipping through spaces others overlook and appearing exactly where he needs to be. Snatch reads body language, spacing, and attention shifts like a map, using stillness as camouflage before acting in quick, decisive bursts. While Bander creates movement and noise, Snatch removes objects, redirects props, or subtly repositions things with calm efficiency.

Card Guards
Loyal, eager, and wonderfully literal, the Card Guards are devoted servants of the Queen who take every order with absolute seriousness. Though their appearance suggests whimsy, they are skilled defenders and remain determined to prove themselves worthy protectors.

Ace of Hearts - The self-appointed champion of the Card Guard. Ace takes every assignment incredibly seriously and genuinely believes they are destined for greatness. Brave, enthusiastic, and occasionally far too confident, Ace is always the first to volunteer and the last to realize the plan is going terribly wrong. (The Heroic One)

Three of Hearts - Three is perpetually convinced something terrible is about to happen. A creaking door, a suspicious butterfly, or someone saying the word "perhaps" is enough to put Three on high alert. Despite this, Three is surprisingly competent when things actually go wrong. (The Nervous One)

Five of Hearts - Five treats being a Card Guard like the greatest job in Wonderland. They love the Queen, love their fellow guards, love their uniform, and are enthusiastic about absolutely everything. Five is the one most likely to start a chant, cheer for the Queen, or encourage the audience to get involved. (The Cheerful One)

Ten of Hearts - Ten has seen everything. Nothing surprises them anymore. While the other guards panic, cheer, or grandstand, Ten simply watches with the exhausted expression of someone who has been dealing with Wonderland nonsense for far too long. (The Deadpan One)

Four of Hearts - Four takes the Queen's laws extremely seriously, even when the laws make absolutely no sense. Four is convinced that if everyone simply followed the rules, Wonderland would be perfectly orderly.  (The Rule Keeper)

Nine of Spades - Nine is a Spade who is absolutely convinced they are actually a Black Heart. No amount of evidence, logic, or pointing at their uniform will change their mind. Nine believes they were simply "misprinted" and that their true destiny is to serve among the Queen's Hearts. (The Black Heart)
