2027 Hoggetowne Medieval Faire Auditions
We are casting performers for the Living Chessboard, an immersive interactive theater experience at the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire.
We are looking for actors, stage combatants, stunt performers, improvisers, and anyone who loves to perform. Whether you have years of experience or have always wanted to try acting, this is your chance to learn, create, and become part of a one-of-a-kind theatrical adventure.
Performers will develop characters, engage with audiences, learn stage combat techniques, and help bring epic fantasy battles to life in the middle of the faire. We are looking for people who can tell a story through movement, create memorable moments, think on their feet, and put on a great show.
No stage combat experience? Never performed before? No problem! Training will be provided. Come discover what you can do!

Thieves Guilde
The Thieves Guilde is a volunteer acting troupe based in Gainesville, Florida. We re-enact battles of yore, when good conquered evil and the bad guys wore black. We perform at various faires and bring classic stories to life, allowing visiting patrons a chance to step back in time to the Medieval and Renaissance Periods. Through choreographed battles, including living chess boards, and larger-than-life characters, we create a world in which chivalry still lives.
